You might already know that being over a certain age (sometimes 50, sometimes 60) entitles you to discounts and extra savings, but knowing which retailers offer which discounts can be hard to keep track of. We’ve done the research for you. Below are the special savings you should know about—and if we’ve left out any great discounts, let us know in the comments box below!



Deal: 15% off every Tuesday.
Age: 50+


Deal: On the first Tuesday of every month, get a discount that varies by location.
Age: 55+

C.J. Banks

Deal: 10% off entire purchase every Wednesday.
Age: 60+

Dress Barn

Deal: 10% off entire purchase on either Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on the store location.
Age: 55+


Deal: 25% off on Mondays and 15% all other days. Senior discounts cannot be used in conjunction with Club Blue or 50% off sale Saturday discounts.

Deal: Join the Every Tuesday Club, exclusively for customers 55 and older, and get 10% off purchases made on Tuesdays.

Salvation Army Thrift Store

Deal: 10% off entire purchase every day. Discount cannot be combined with other offers.

AMC Theaters

Deal: Up to 30% off movie tickets on certain days of the week. Contact your local AMC theater for discount information.
Age: 60+

Busch Gardens

Deal: Discount pricing on the Busch Gardens Tampa Annual Pass online. Or, $3 off park tickets when purchasing at the gate with proof of age. Ask at customer service for details.
Age: 65+

Cinemark Theaters

Deal: Every Monday seniors recieve a discounted ticket price. Ask at the box office for details.
Age: 62+

SeaWorld Orlando

Deal: Visitors 50+ can get a $3 discount off a one-day ticket.
Age: 50+

U.S. National Parks

Deal: A $20 annual pass or an $80 lifetime pass gets you access to more than 2,000 recreation sites and 100% of the proceeds are used to improve visitor recreation services.
Age: 62+



Deal: 10% off on the first Wednesday of the month. Check your local store for details.
Age: 55+


Deal: 10% off on Tuesdays.
Age: 65+


Deal: Depending on the location, Hy-Vee offers 5% off on Wednesdays.
Age: Varies on location.


Chili’s Grill & Bar 

Deal: 10% off entire purchase (varies by state). Ask the hostess.

Baker’s Square

Deal: 10% off at participating locations. Ask the hostess.

Boston Market

Deal: 10% off entire purchase at all locations.

Deal: 10% off regular menu items.

Deal: Senior discount varies by location. There’s a senior 55+ menu, and kids eat free on Thursday between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Fast food chains (including McDonald’s, Burger King, Arby’s)
Depending on the location, most fast food chains have a senior discount available. Check your nearest location for information, as each restauant varies its pricing.

Gatti’s Pizza Buffet

Deal: Wednesday is senior day, and everyone age 60+ can eat the buffet for $4.99 all day.

Golden Corral

Deal: Most locations offer an early-bird senior discount every day of the week. Contact your local Golden Corral for information.
Age: 60+


Deal: Get 50% off on Thursday at some locations. IHOP also offers a senior menu with special pricing.
Age: 55+


Deal: Shoney’s Golden Age Club Discount Card entitles you to a 10% discount on all regular menu items.

Steak and Shake

Deal: 10% off every Monday & Tuesday, depending on the location.
Age: 50+

Waffle House

Deal: There’s no discount just for seniors, but you can join the Waffle House Regular’s Club for discounts and specials emailed to you.

Deal: Offers a “Senior Nation” plan for $30 a month.
Age: 65+

Jiffy Lube

Deal: Up to 10% off services at Jiffy Lube, depending on the location.
Age: 55+

Rite Aid

Deal: Offers a free wellness+ program created just for seniors with benefits including 20% off on Wednesdays, a free pharmacist consultation, free pharmacy services, and more.
Age: 65+


Alamo Car Rental

Deal: 10% car rental when you call 800-462-5266.
Age: 50+

American Airlines

Deal: Discounts are available, depending on the domestic flight. To take advantage of the discounted fares, you will have to call the airline’s reservation number at 1-800-433-7300.
Age: 65+


Deal: 15% off the lowest available rail fare on most Amtrak trains. On cross-border services operated jointly by Amtrak and VIA Rail Canada, a 10% Senior discount is applicable to travelers aged 60 and over.

Deal: Travelers can receive discounts on certain itineraries, but they aren’t available online. Call 1-800-221-1212 to check eligibility.

Dollar Car Rental

Deal: 10% off most rentals when you join Dollar’s Silver Dollar Club.
Age: 50+

Double Tree by Hilton

Deal: Offers Senior Discount Rates at participating DoubleTree by Hilton hotels.

Deal: Greyhound passengers age 62 and older can request a 5% discount on unrestricted passenger fares. Appropriate ID may be required.
Age: 62+

Hertz Car Rental

Deal: With your AAA membership, you can receive a discount, which varies on the rental type.
Age: 25+

Holiday Inn

Deal: Senior discount rooms are available, prices vary based on date and location.

Sleep Inn

Deal: Up to 30% off the “Senior Rate” rooms when you book online.

Southwest Airlines

Deal: Senior fare discounts are available, if you purchase a ticket via telephone. For details on fares and limitations, call 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792).

United Airlines
