The much-anticipated second season of “The Last of Us” is set to premiere in April, as confirmed by a new teaser unveiled on Monday at the CES tech conference in Las Vegas. The teaser provides a glimpse into the new characters joining the show, including Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever, Dina, portrayed by Isabela Merced, and Isaac Dixon, played by Jeffrey Wright. The one-minute teaser begins with Abby walking down a dimly lit hallway, a siren blaring in the background.
She holds her gun and looks over her shoulder cautiously. “It doesn’t matter if you have a code like me,” Abby says in a voiceover. “There are just some things everyone agrees are just wrong.”

The teaser also shows Abby crying as she kneels over a grave.

In the video game, Abby is a soldier who finds herself at odds with Ellie while seeking vengeance for a loved one. Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, and Dina are depicted slow-dancing before running from a swarm of infected. Dina is described as a free spirit and Ellie’s love interest.
New characters teased in promo
Isaac Dixon, a militia leader, appears illuminated by a campfire. Pedro Pascal’s return as Joel Miller is also teased, showing him shedding a tear.
Besides the main characters, several newcomers are set to join Season 2, including Catherine O’Hara, Danny Ramirez, Tati Gabrielle, Young Mazino, Ariela Barer, and Spencer Lord. The teaser ends with Ellie walking down what appears to be the same hallway as Abby, gun in hand. The new footage has created a buzz among fans eagerly awaiting the new season, promising intense drama and deeper character explorations.
“The Last of Us” Season 2 is set to adapt events from the 2020 video game sequel, “The Last of Us Part II,” which takes place a few years after the first season.
